Artist Statement

Vital spaces, abstract places, bases where strange things are allowed to transpire, in a name, the theatre, where emotions, ideas, and images have a face. i have always been filled with awe, appreciation, and gratitude, upon entering the holy confines of the theatre. spending time inside is a well preserved ritual.

In the beginning there is an image. if this image is stubborn, it will grow, ideas will sprout, a language will emerge, scenes will begin to play out, beckoning media provide the voices necessary by which to merge text with imagery, and allow the project to become increasingly multi-disciplinary, breathing life into the concept, and allowing the abstraction dimension, depth, width, height, space, time, and consciousness.
